This year we would like to welcome two new visiting students from Canada who will join us during this summer and fall: Mark Zhitnitsky and Geneviève Bertin.
Mark is an honors BSc student (CS and Physics) at the University of British Columbia. He will be working on building a new confocal and imaging magnetometry setup based on Nitrogen-Vacancy centers in diamond, and using it to image magnetic textures and local current flows.
Geneviève is an honors BSc student in Materials and Nanoscience at the University of Waterloo. She will be working on patterning bulk crystals of novel superconductors into devices using the focused ion beam, and integrating them into hybrid superconducting circuits.
Welcome, Mark and Geneviève! It’s great to have you here!
