During this month, Haneul Kim and Eunji Lim from Prof. Sanghoon Kim’s group in the university of Ulsan are visiting our group. They are experts in complex magnetic materials and devices based on spin-orbit phenomena, which we hope to explore and image using our scanning NV systems.

As you can see from the photos below, Haneul and Eunji are already working in our room-temperature NV scanning setup, and Eunji gave a great presentation in our group seminar on her previous experiments on FePt thin films. Haneul will also stay in our group during the fall and winter as part of the Korea-Germany Junior Research Fellowship Program.

Welcome to Dresden and to QIQM Haneul and Eunji! We hope this can be the start of a long term collaboration!
